Dr. Donald Kelley, D.C. is an accomplished doctor of chiropractic with thirty years experience. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1981 and has completed post-graduate courses in Medical Disability Evaluation, Activator Method, Gonstead Technique, and ongoing courses in Palmer Spinal and Extremity Adjustment.
Dr. Kelley is focused primarily on adjustment of misaligned and dysfunctional bony structures such as spinal vertebrae and extremity joints. Dysfunctional spinal joints can result in compressed or irritated nerves producing radiating leg pain (sciatica), arm pain, headaches, neck and back pain. His approach utilizes a chiropractic evaluation to determine involved joint dysfunction and specific adjustment techniques to restore normal alignment and function.
He is skilled in both low force techniques such as Activator and more traditional techniques such as Gonstead and Palmer. He consults with his patients to fully explain their condition and to select the type of treatment that will be both safe and effective for their specific need. The multidisciplinary approach at SOL Santa Cruz works well for patients who would benefit from comprehensive care including massage, exercise, nutritional counseling, and physical therapy
Dr. Kelley enjoys cycling, hiking (especially the high Sierras), and Zen meditation retreats. He is a lifetime member of the California Chiropractic Association.
